Accreditation

A developmental journey,
independently verified.

ASPIRE accreditation is not an inspection to survive — it is a climb with a map, a verified position, and a route to your next elevation.

Recognition levels

Three levels, one meaning

LevelVerified positionTerm
CANDIDATERegistered and progressing — a developmental status, not an accreditationAnnual
ASPIRE ACCREDITEDVerified at Aligned: integrated systems, working value flow, evidence-backed results in all six dimensions3 years + mid-term check
ASPIRE DISTINGUISHEDVerified at Advanced: benchmark-strong results with proven durability in every dimension3 years + mid-term check
ASPIRE LUMINARYVerified at Adaptive across consecutive cycles: self-renewing, ecosystem-shaping3 years + annual dialogue

The mid-term Vitality Check is unique to ASPIRE: a light-touch review at mid-term verifying that accredited positions still hold — because durability is part of the award itself.

The journey

Six stations from candidacy to renewal

#StationWhat happens
1CandidacyEligibility confirmed; the organization completes an honest self-assessment (the Base Camp Review) with evidence.
2SurveyFull external assessment: documentary review, then an on-site visit tracing real journeys, probing past transitions, and hearing staff and stakeholders in protected panels.
3DecisionAn independent panel — which never assesses — applies published rules to the verified position profile.
4TermFour years with the public mark, listed in the register, with a prioritized improvement route (the Ascent Pathway).
5Vitality CheckMid-term verification that positions hold and the Pathway is moving.
6RenewalThe next survey starts from the last verified position — the system never forgets a climber it has met.
Eligibility

Who can apply

Any sector, any country

Healthcare, education, government, nonprofit, private — one architecture with sector calibrations.

Any size

Requirements scale in expression, never in substance. A 20-person organization is as accreditable as a 2,000-bed hospital.

Two years of history

The minimum from which result trends and durability evidence can exist.

Whole-entity scope

Accreditation covers the whole organization or a coherently governed entity — never cherry-picked units.

Integrity disclosure

Disclosure — not perfection — is the requirement for any material regulatory matters.

Honest self-knowledge

Accurate self-assessment is rewarded in scoring. Honesty is the rational strategy here.

Questions

Frequently asked

How is ASPIRE different from other accreditations?

Three ways: recognition maps to verified maturity states rather than scores; durability of results is a formal requirement, not an assumption; and every assessment ends with a prioritized improvement route, not just findings.

How long does accreditation take?

Organizations starting from an Active position typically reach survey readiness in 12–18 months. The survey itself, from engagement to decision, is measured in weeks.

Can we fail?

A survey that doesn't reach an accreditable position ends in "Defer with Pathway" — you continue as a Candidate with an endorsed route and a re-survey window. Deferral is a route, not a rejection.

How do we verify someone's certificate?

Every valid recognition is in the public register. Enter the register number from any certificate — one lookup, full truth.

Can decisions be appealed?

Yes — a free, two-stage process: an independent procedural review, then an appeal panel none of whose members touched the case. Filing an appeal can never disadvantage you.
